The trio NeWt was formed in Edinburgh, Scotland in July of 2006. The group recorded three acclaimed albums. They were Scottish Jazz Ensemble of the year nominees in 2011 and in 2012 they were the Scottish Jazz Ensemble Award winners. The group toured the UK extensively in 2011, they were featured at Ronnie Scott's Brit Jazz Festival, they supported Bill Frisell in Queen Elizabeth Hall for the London Jazz Festival and were featured in live broadcast for BBC Jazz on 3 from Manchester. NeWt was a part of the 'Made in the UK' touring showcase, appearing at the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival and the TD Toronto and Vancouver Jazz Festivals. This album contains all the NeWt music that was composed by Chris Wallace.

Chris Wallace

Chris Wallace is a drummer and composer originally from Regina, Saskatchewan. Since the end of
2002 he had been living in Edinburgh, Scotland where he became a central figure in the Scottish jazz
community. He is now based in Toronto, ON Canada. His latest project is 'Chris Wallace's Many Names' a modern jazz quartet featuring some of Canada's best players.
